All the raw elements processed into our bagged Sawdust are picked up at their sources as recycleable goods.
Wood shavings, off-cuts and other lumber byproducts from saw mills are transported to our plant and processed to become bagged Sawdust.
Lone Pine sees its environmental responsibility as being more than complying with Federal and Provincial environmental laws and guidelines. Scrap wood, burned in a custom-designed incinerator, is used to heat work areas at our plant. All our used engine oil, and some provided by neighbouring farms and businesses, is also used to heat buildings during our long Alberta winters. Scrap steel is regularly collected and sent for recycling. Our office has an active paper-recycling program and Lone Pine staff is encouraged to make suggestions to improve our environmental impact.
